OUR BEST TOOL TO PREVENT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS YOU!

Because domestic violence is a community problem, it requires a community response. Rather you know it or not, someone in your neighborhood is likely experiencing abuse.

The best tool for preventing domestic violence is the work of individuals, like you, who are committed to preventing violence. If you'd like to get involved in the effort and join a team that is committed to preventing violence and making this community a safter one for all, we welcome you.

Our monthly meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month. EVERYONE IS WELCOME. We meet at noon (bring your own lunch) at Salt Lake County Criminal Justice Services, 145 East 1300 South, Suite 401, Classroom #8, (next to the Shanghai Cafe).

While our mission is to grow strong communities to prevent domestic violence, we also recognize that this cannot happen without also supporting those who are currently being abused. If you know or suspect someone you know is in a violent relationship, or if you are in a violent relationship, we are here to help: read tips for starting a conversation, how to be supportive, caring and helpful places that you can turn for shelter and community. But most importantly, don't turn away. Start the conversation and make a difference in your life, in the life of someone that you care about and in your community.

                                  START THE CONVERSATION

Preventing domestic violence cannot happen without a strong, committed community. Talking to friends, neighbors and community members about the issue of domestic violence - and how it affects us all - is the only way that we can truly eradicate the problem.
